In 2009, the group wanted to expand the Viveka Illam works from just a religious institution to a charitable organization. Their vision is to set up a home for orphans, poor and needy children and rename the Illam as (Viveka Welfare and Educational Illam Malaysia). With this in mind they established a home at No. 195, Lorong Hijau 3/3, Taman Hijau, 48000 Rawang with the intention to house orphans, children from broken homes, and also those in need of religious guidance.

Kids from Sri Saradha Devi Illam Rawang were with us on our Viveka Illam House Warning on 28 August 2009.

Durga Amman Sooktha Pooja

Every forth week of every month Viveka Illam will organize a special Durga Sooktha Homam. Devi Durga is the symbol of sakthi who protects the human being from the happening of all evils and blesses with success, peace, abundance and prosperity. The purpose of the Durga Sooktha Homam is to remove any obstacles or blocks in growth - both internally and externally - for a person or a group of people. Durga Sooktha Homam is very useful for the attainment of success, wealth, prosperity, fame, removal of fear, health, longevity, fulfilling of desires, food, progeny, strength, removing ailments, removing danger and defeat in the hand.
